Research Assistant

A research assistant is a great position for students that are looking to further their studies in psychology or in a related field. There are lots of graduate programs in psychology that will favor people with research experience, and due to the fact that graduate psychology programs are strongly based in research, having experience in this area can make you a more desirable candidate.

Psychiatric Technician

Another great entry level job in psychology is a psychiatric technician. In this job, you would work in a medical or mental health facility as part of a team. You would be responsible for providing patients with therapeutic care. Some of the things that are part of a psychiatric technician’s job include observing behavior, providing treatment or medication, and listening to concerns. Their job is to aid the process of entering or being discharged from a facility.

Rehabilitation Specialist

You can also use your bachelor’s degree to get into working as a rehabilitation specialist. Such specialists will work in rehabilitation facilities for things like drug and alcohol abuse, and they will work directly with patients in order to provide them with the care they need. They are an important part of the rehabilitation process.
